WOMEN'S VOICES AND LEADERSHIP KENYA

Date: 10-11-2020

The Women's Voice and Leadership Kenya (WVLK) project aims to contribute to gender equality and the increased enjoyment of human rights by women and girls in Kenya.

The Women's Voice and Leadership-Kenya project is a 5 years' grant by the people of Canada via the Canadian Government through Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and is anchored on Canada's Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) which puts gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls at the heart of international development, humanitarian, peace and security efforts.

Women voices and leadership-Kenya is premised on the understanding that women and girls cannot enjoy human rights, and that gender equality will not be seen in Kenya without a vibrant, sustained and healthy women's rights movement, or without a civil society in which women's rights organizations operate as equals amongst Civil Society Organizations (CSOs.)
